Instructional Techniques Course (ITC)

Run by Nelson Aviation College Motueka.  The ITC aims to:­

• Help you to develop your knowledge of how adults learn
• Improve your knowledge and application of instructional techniques
• Help you to set high professional standards as an instructor, and
• Meet the requirements of CAR Part 61.303 and AC 61-1.18.

Learning to become a proficient flying instructor is a classic mixture of theory and practice.

You will gain knowledge about a range of subjects from how adults learn, teaching methods and the use of training aids, through to questioning and assessment techniques.

You will be given the opportunity to put as much of the presentation skills into practice as time allows, and you will also be given the opportunity to develop professional attitudes towards your craft.
